Pamela Jones
Pamela Jones began her journey by working in her community in Houston, Texas, providing resources and guidance to help others better their lives. Drawing from her own lived-experience, especially in mental health and trauma, she soon took on a leadership role in Celebrate Recovery at her local church. She later volunteered at a Recovery Center in Dallas, Texas, where she earned her Recovery Coach certification.
Driven by her dedication to underserved communities, Pamela began working with juveniles in the State of Texas criminal division, focusing on supporting broken families and the youth in those communities. Pamela’s desire to strengthen families led her to take on a position at Recovery Communities, where she collaborated with CPS and saw firsthand the effects of domestic violence on both parents and children. During this time, she obtained her Mental Health Peer Specialist certification and later worked as a peer specialist in the Dallas drug courts program.
In 2022, Pamela joined One World Recovery Network as a Peer Specialist and mentor, helping new peer specialists earn their certifications. Pamela has contributed to the Big Texas Rally for Recovery under One World Recovery Network’s leadership. She also on the team for the North Texas Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (NTX-ROSC),helping to build connections between the diverse communities of Dallas/Ft. Worth and their surrounding resources. Through the NTX-ROSC, she supports bridging the gaps that exist in communities with services that are needed to bring hope and build healthier communities.
