CORE Peer Specialist training is a 3 day training in which participants learn about the fundamental principles and skills of peer support work in the state of Texas. *This training satisfies the prerequisite requirement for the supplemental training. Participants who complete this training and pass the knowledge assessment are eligible to apply for the supplemental trainings, Mental Health Peer Specialist (MHPS), Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS), Re-Entry Peer Specialist (RPS), Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS).
