The Opioid-Impact Family Support Program provides No-Cost (FREE) training for Texas residents interested in becoming certified as a Peer Specialist. With this certification, you may support others on their journey of Substance Use and Mental Health recovery. Take the next step in making a difference in your community.
Texas Certification Eligibility Requirements:
Texas resident, minimum 6 months
Minimum 18 Years of Age
Have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Be Willing to Share Their Recovery Experience and Support Others
Have personal experience maintaining wellness or recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges
